Hearing that Ryan Johansen's camp asking for at least $8.5 million per on a long-term deal with Nashville. RyJo is a restricted free agent - jimbro83

All, will be back late this afternoon, early evening with a blog. Heading to the beach for a while with my wife. If something breaks, will post a quick blog.
The Shattenkirk saga is pretty much well know, it gets down to $ (NJ) vs. fraternity (Boston) vs. hometown rooting interest (NYR). If Rangers are competitive, and it's up for determination what that means in terms of spread of offers, they have a shot. If major gap, let's say a mil per year or 1-2 more years elsewhere, 'Kirk likely goes there. |

Curios as to why no one thinks Shattenkirk can go to Buffalo. They got the space. Probably could use a vet. |

Interesting that Boston was never really mentioned until recently (or so it seems to me), but as I said to a buddy of mine: If I'm Shattenkirk, I go to Boston... same way we tried to go to college up there. It just makes sense not to play for the home team, but still have a life that's similar/close to home. It's basically the reverse Hayes/Vesey.
Plus, Cassidy is very pro defensemen joining the rush. Perfect guy to play for.

What's everyone's order of UFA for tomorrow, top 3.
1. Grigorenko
2. Bonino (depending on term)
3. Hartnell (short 1-2 year deal) |
