Anyways not saying they cant sign any Fa's period or that nobody wants to come here but in general you have a better shot at high profile FA's (when they occasionally appear) when you're an established contender. Otherwise you have to overpay out the ass to get in the mix.

You could have Matt Moulson for the next two years at at 3.975 (when you bury him in the AHL) or you could buy him out and have him at 2.83, 3.83, .833, .833. I dont see the logic in buying him out. It's much more cost efficient to bury him.

We save a million this year, when we don't need the space, at the cost of over 800k in years 3 and 4.

He is the only one that might actually be worth doing. It wasn't a contract done by Murry(loaded with signing bonuses). However I would most likely bury him in the AHL for a year, and buy him out next year.

I'd bring in Hartnell for 2LW.

Play dipped last year but his pts per 60 were 2nd best on the team. Much better 2 way player than vanek. Coming off 3 20+ goal/55 point years before that.

it clears a little over a million dollars, but we don't need the cap space. It could alleviate zero, it still wouldn't make sense to buy them out. Many cases the buyout doesn't save much, and its going to double your year of dead money.
