If this was a year after signing Antipin and Bo is working I would be all about Shattenkirk...

it clears a little over a million dollars, but we don't need the cap space. It could alleviate zero, it still wouldn't make sense to buy them out. Many cases the buyout doesn't save much, and its going to double your year of dead money.

i dont see how its dumb. until they establish some sort of contending core its likely that we'll get passed over a lot in FA. mind you i dont believe thats what's happening with shattenkirk but as a general statement it makes sense

I am fully confident Nick Baptiste or Bailey will end up being a solid contributor with Eichel. Both can fly.

JB IMO will invest where it counts, centers and D men.
