God yes! there's no way MTL would do this though IMO

Why wouldn't they?

Give gagner 3 mill per for 2 years

Bring Eddie lack back for one year as the locker room won't matter until the twins leave

The yotes should offer sheet drai ...they have enough prospects already

Hard to say, Hutton is a young D man that has top 4 potential and is almost there, Sven is a 20g-50pt guy. They just traded a young top 2 potential for Drouin, Galch is not worth what Drouin got. It is a fair deal for both sides tbh. I would say Hutton and Galch are close value.

The funny thing is the top 2 are a possibility and the last one probably isn't

So just throwing it out there... we should offer sheet Draisaitl 7 years 8 million per.
- thundachunk

This is what I would do Thunda.

I would offer Draisitl 9.7 for max years. It would cost you two firsts , a second and a third.

If Oilers matched you would be stretching the hell out of their cap space. If they didn't match you get a franchise player.

I would next year turn around and trade Bo and recover one of your first round picks. The following year I would trade Tanev or Gudbrandson or even someone else to recover the second first round pick.

I would prefer going into the next eight years with Draisitl over Horvat.

I think kulikov is probably slightly better. He's never seemed to be bad 5v5. More of an Off. d that isn't getting big minutes. His starts lean more towards the Ozone. For a 6/7 D he's better then what van currently has
- manvanfan

Okay thought you liked Nest more when you said only UFA worth signing.

So given your openess here how about reclamation proeject Wiercioch.

Could be better replacement for Sbisa as Wiercioch has a heavy shot. Maybe a 7D. Keep Pedan and Biega on Comets.

Basically trading Bo and a first for drai ...not bad idea

Because neither have the potential nor current ability that galchenyuk does. maybe those two and as pick. He's 22 and has sky is the limit potential.

and a 2nd and 3rd if I'm not mistaken. Trading Bo for one 1st seems a step back, regardless of reasoning. I'd do the rest of the deal, but keep Bo as the 2c as I think he will thrive there

I like it.
Wouldn't trade Bo for a 1st tho.

More than likely Edmonton would match that offer me thinks. Not sure if JB has the cahones to pull this off. That kid from Arz might.

Thats actually a solid plan to recoup lost picks and minimize the long term damage. Get that #1C and keep building. A deal like this is hurting your reputation of being the real Benning...

Lack was incredibly annoying and his immaturity would rub most professionals the wrong way. Look at how he has been received in Carolina.

Linden on Weal/Gagner visits: I think both would be good pieces that..would give us depth so we wouldn't have to push young kids into lineup

The math seems off it's 4 1st rounders at that price and given Canuck fortunes they'd all be lotto picks 1-3OA.

Vancouver should be trading assets this year to recoup those picks. I have no problem with Draisitl Bo Pettersson going into the future but I don't have a problem with Draisitl Turris Pettersson either.

Maybe so but Habs need D & Sven adds scoring.
2 cheap contracts for Galch who wants a huge raise.
Hutton/Sven r more cap friendly
