TSN Radio Vancouver: Linden on Jordan Weal and Sam Gagner visits: “I think both would be good pieces that..would give us depth so we wouldn’t have to push young kids into lineup”

Linden on Weal and Gagner: “We’ll talk about it and…we’re just seeing if the fit is right. But the seem like good pieces that would fit”

Rick Dhaliwal: The Canucks are still talking with their own unrestricted free agent Anton Rodin about a new deal.

Sounds like it'll be another year of waiting for more kids to make the team. Aside from Boeser that is

I think you are exaggerating by calling them franchise players. Just because they are the best prospects right now does not mean they will be the best prospects in two years.

I have seen many people post on here that Boeser and Stecher may play in Utica this year.

Do you know how many discussions on here have been about if Bo is a 2C or a 3C

I wasn't calling them franchise, Lordy just commented that alienating them would be disastrous (because right now they seem to be the only future the Canucks have). To think management has to walk on eggshells so not to offend average NHLers makes me sad.

What? No.

I like him loads. But definitely not elite.

If Bo is elite then McDavid and McMatthews are what?

Isn't it mostly you arguing that Bo is a 3C?

He is most definitely a 2C

Bo is really good, but he isn't Elite. I was just making reference to what was being tossed around here the last couple weeks to do with the phrase Elite

I dont think its a bad thing. Just because a player can make the team, doesnt always mean they should. The Canucks finally have control over their club and farm teams, they should not be afraid to let kids gel and develop in a league made for it.

Boeser, I think will make it, but no one seems to be mad hes going to the development camp with a bunch of rookies

I suppose if it helps the long term to let them all play in the A together, then it is the way to go... As long as Brock makes the team and we get to watch him score this year I think that will pacify the fans

I dont think Brock's rookie season will be much different than Bo's was. Start low in the lineup, work his way up as the season goes on.

I am willing to bet there will be outrage after he starts in the bottom 6 despite having a crazy good preseason game against half an AHL team

Pettersson led all draft eligible forward scoring in the Allsvenkan this year. Furthermore, the 6'2" and 165 lbs winger's 0.95 point per game is ranked third in Allsvenskan history amongst all under 19-year-old players, trailing only St Louis Blues centre Patrik Berglund and Columbus Blue Jackets centre William Karlsson.

Was unaware of this till just now, pretty good to be 3rd all time

Just want to see him in a few meaningful NHL games. Why is that too much to ask considering how poopty this roster is.

Will his mistakes be so grievous that Rogers will implode killing all inside?

If he sucks then kick his ass to the curb and focus on players that may actually play in the NHL.

Yes, not bad if you compare it with something like flesh eating disease or tape worm.
