Side note: they were talking on Sirius XM today about how a $13 million deal for McDavid would put him at about 17% of the Oilers' cap. That was about the same percentage of the cap as Crosby made up when he signed his deal. The notion that McDavid and Draisaitl would kill Edmonton's cap is completely unfounded.

i agree my point was i doubt he'd want to do that given the way the pens structured their team. they prioritized paying core players and found value every else.

Edmontons cap wont be killed by mcdavid and draisaitl. it will be killed by lucic and russell, who have no business being on that team. luckily they have klefbom signed to a team friendly deal.
