1) He played really poorly last year didn't earn even a fraction of his $6 million salary
2) He is 26 and will be a UFA in 2 years during which time Colorado has no hopes to be competetive
3) Joe Sakic is a brutal GM and overvalues this player, thinking he has a marquis player when in reality he has 3rd line stats and first line pay.
4) This player should be considered Chuck steak not Kobe steak by any stretch.

He wants to come to the leafs after 5 years. Take a home town discount like all the southern Ontario guys.
