Drouin is a pretty big stretch at center.

Markov is old.

They have trouble in both areas.

It feels like the plan is to let Price bail out the defense, and to beef up the offense. It isn't that I dislike the Drouin trade, but it definitely means they are all-in, now.

Well when you see Smith getting 4.25M a year....

I'd hope he'll receive a little less but no matter how you look at it, the Habs won't be getting a better LHD elsewhere, unless they trade Galchenyuk for one, which wouldn't be a good idea.

At the end of the day, I hope he comes back.... if he doesn't budge from that price... it'll suck but we'll do it.
