I think they'll wait until their drafted players become the help they need.

As bad as people say the Leafs D are, they conceded around 15 goals more than the middle of the pack in 82 games.

Let's assume they don't blow 10 2 or 3 goal leads this season. They would've given up the same amount of goals as the Cup winners.

i wouldn't mind shattenkirk, but realistically, rags will outbid us.

if we can scoop up smith on a 2 year deal, maybe that. Same with alzner. I’d be ok waiting to see if if these guys outprice themselves and grabing them for a couple years; in say august.

i think trade will be our best option. demers out of FLA or wait until the new year and make another run at vatanen. if jets get serious about trouba, I think we have to make an offer.

Why do I always see people giving Hunwick such a hard time? He had a pretty good year with us last year, for not having any other options. Him and Polak were both pretty solid for us last year, even if you don't like to admit it.

I'd be fine with signing Daley or even Markov ( ) for two years if either would agree with it. I'd be very hesitant to sign any UFA longer than two seasons because of the Matthews/Marner bump in that summer.
