Add Bernie Parent + Bobby Clarke and we'll talk business ... we need a goalie to replace Price and a guy with a backbone to replace wussyretty. |

Well these guys have won a poopload of Cups for us ... I'm sure their corpses are better than what we currently have in our minor league team. |

Do Canadien fans actually want Radulov over Galchenyuk?
There is like an 80% chance Radulov phones it in once he is paid. - Mahewman
He'd fit right in on the Wings. The entire team phones it in each game. Good thing there's no cap space for Clueless Kenny. |

oft-injured 20 pt. Dman are worth a kings ransom - Aetherial
Yeah, these salaries are ridiculous ... this is what happens when you have too many teams and not enough talent to go around. Teams will outbid each other for players with even marginal talent.
This is a very good thing for players, wish I was one of them, and I can't blame them for cashing in.
But in the end, it's the fans who end up paying for all this madness while having to watch sub-par games most nights of the year and paying $20 for a freakin' beer.
[RANT]
Used to be fun watching your team evolve and getting better year after year but now you can lose your core players as soon has they've had a few years in and had some success. Hard to retain fan loyalty when you risk losing your main assets after a few years. Hey, let's sell a new third jersey with new name plates to new suckers!
It used to be about sport (I'm dating myself), now it's all about how many $$$'s they can extract from your wallet. Personally, I've checked out a long time ago ... thank God for TV.
Yes, I know ... cable networks still extract those $'s from me as well ... but with the number of people cutting off cable I see a readjustment coming.
Is it normal that I'm now way more excited to watch the World Junior's instead of the Stanley Cup final (which I haven't watched in years as I have other things to do in (frank)ing June)?
Ah well, it is what it is ... welcome to the future.
[/RANT]
Thanks Gary, you took a good thing, made it into an American biz thing and totally (frank)ed it up in the process! |

Chucky + cap dump. - Whiskey-Tango
So cap dump for a cap dump. Basically Tanev and a 2nd for Chucky. That would be in the realm of possibilities but MTL lose a lot of offensive power. |

Tanev is a solid dman though. 3rd pick is obviously asking for too much with Heiskanen, Makar and Liljegren in the draft. |

More or less.
Top 4 D, 3rd line center plus 2nd.
All things considered (rumors), Mtl almost appears desperate to shed the kid...not that they should in any way do but whatever.
Not as though Vancouver is in any rush anyways lol. |

so true I enjoy the world junior more than any playoff game that is not involving the habs... I stopped going to the Bell center 5-6 years ago too..to much $$$ If only more people were doing the same... I only go if I win tickets (AKA Free !)
