#Isles have reached out to pending UFA Justin Williams, according to his agent. Long list of suitors, would be an interesting fit.
...why? - eichiefs9
He made sense a couple years ago when he signed with Washington. Now, not so much... |

I know it's just spit-balling but think Chimera might be better with 72 & 13 because of speed and some physical protection for them. You're right though, A bit forward heavy. Plus there's always Prince, Quine & Gionta. - Isleshockeyman
That's the way I'd like to see it. Eberle/Ho Sang/Chimera down the right side. I just don't know where Bailey fits. I wouldn't be surprised to see Snow make another trade for futures, just for the roster spot/cap space...especially if he really think he is going to have to pay Tavares $12M/yr now. |

I don't think Bailey will drop below the second line. JHS & Beau splitting some box time. |

...why? Trying to add more pieces from Weight's Cup in Carolina? - eichiefs9
Certainly wouldn't mind adding Mr game 7 |

I agree. Isles need to be looking at 2C in trades. |

As for Tavares, betting it was all smiles over at CAA and some groans in #Islses FO when McDavid numbers came out. JT's price just went up.
Arthur StapleVerified account @StapeNewsday 15s15 seconds ago
Feeling for months was that JT would command eight years and north of $10m AAV... Now? $12m per doesn't sound so crazy. - eichiefs9
What were the McDavid numbers? |

Unless they fall flat on their face I don't see Weight benching either one |

Maybe, it would be the "Islanders" thing to do. But Weight seemed OK with relying on the kids in big situations last year.
Also, I guess Barzal could start in BPT. |

Pretty sure Gionta is a UFA. I think one of Prince or Quine is the extra forward and the other gets waived |

He is and at least one of them should be waived or dumped. |

That's how Capuano did things, not giving the kids a shot. Weight really trusted in them once he took over and it worked. |

Didn't we hear that Snow had a lot of input into line up decisions? |

Probably with his puppet Cappy. I think Weight has made it clear its his way or he wouldn't have taken the job |

I'd like to see Bailey moved, not so sure about Nelson. He has value. Obviously I'd move him without thinking twice for a good player, but I think Bailey could fetch something like a 2nd rounder in '18.
Three second rounders in a deep draft could be a very nice thing to have in your pocket. If we end up keeping both ours and CGY's firsts, we might even be able to trade back into the first round, late. Three firsts in a deep draft year would be a massive win. Would add a ton of valuable assets and potentially free up some others for trades. |
