AZ. But, they're not even close to being in a place where adding Duch would put them over the top as far as competitiveness goes. They've got the pieces and the cap space but definitely don't see that happening.

I don't really think they have the defenseman to trade though. They could flip Chychrun, but that would be dumb. They already moved out Murphy and DeAngelo...I don't think they can part with much else from the back-end.

They'd have to trade Skjei and I can't fathom them doing that. Or Day and a whole shitload of other assets. Unless maybe they parted with Shestyorkin, which would also be dumb on their part.

Well Staple said a prospect. My guess is Toews or Wotherspoon. Maybe even Pulock, but I doubt that. Hate him or hate him, Snow played this correctly.

Now Sakic's standing there with his dick in his hand. I'd just keep low-balling him and see if he budges. If not, good luck Mr. Burnaby Joe.

Sakic wanted Pulock, Barzal, + .. not kidding.

Snow offered Hamonic, first and MDC .. they were never close.

They still have Connauton & Schenn. That's not much of a center piece, I realize that. They could however make it up with picks and prospects. They do have some good and very good talent in the pipeline. I don't think it would be completely out of the realm for them to pull off that trade. However, they're not a point in the rebuild where they could use Duch right now.

Sounds to me like Sakic may have been belligerent drunk. Actually... that sounds like someone on here. **starts doing math in head**

With the amount of JT and Snow bashing CPT does...could he actually be Joe Sakic??!

Don't blame Snow one bit from walking away from Sakic. He may have just held up his rebuild fairly significantly. We'll have to wait & see.

Yeah I don't think either of those guys have value as top-4 defensemen. If Sakic wanted to trade Duchene for picks/prospects I think he would have done that months ago.

I'd like to see them take a stab at Galchenyuk. If that isn't feasible, I'd prefer they just go into the season with 91/29/13 down the middle.

Slap me if I get out of line...but if Bailey was able to put up 45+ points as the 2C...do you ride with that? **Ducks**

Yeah. Not sure who else could be/is available. Maybe Snow pulls a surprise out of his ass. No other choice but to wait & see.

I'd rather Nelly over Bailey at 2C.

I mean...Nelson can do the same without the "if" while being just as inconsistent and better defensively when his scoring goes ice cold.

Can anyone let me know when the scrimmage tickets went on sale and how they sold out? I've been looking the past few weeks and seen nothing.
Any chance they'll just let me in if I show up? lol

I'd consider it, but I don't believe he has any real offensive value without riding shotgun with Tavares. If I were Snow, I'd move him out too. Clear some more cap space and capitalize on a career season that isn't likely to be replicated. I don't know where he fits on the roster going forward

27-91-7
16-29-66/12/25
72-13-66/12/25
86-53-15

We're one forward heavy and I don't know who the odd-man-out will be.

Saw on the Isles subreddit that the tickets are gone already. Don't think they sell any at the door, either.

#Isles have reached out to pending UFA Justin Williams, according to his agent. Long list of suitors, would be an interesting fit.

...why? Trying to add more pieces from Weight's Cup in Carolina?

I know it's just spit-balling but think Chimera might be better with 72 & 13 because of speed and some physical protection for them. You're right though, A bit forward heavy. Plus there's always Prince, Quine & Gionta.
