If we're giving up an asset I want grubauer. - Tfaehner
I like Grubauer too but that's a division rival you have to trade with. |

I think that's right on the money for Weal. Even being an over payment. I'd guess he has offers for 2 million x 2 or 3. - Baxter27
I think max is 1.5 a year, x 2 or 3. Can't over pay. We still have too many forwards with out him. |

I'd go 1.5 x 2 max. No need to go more than that without being certain what Weal is considering what they have on the Farm. |

That is why a 1 year deal makes sense, btw. That is all I would be looking for if I were him |

A division rival whose window is seeking and has traded away almost all of its draft picks. If nobody else is willing to give them a descent pick for him but a division rival you do it as Washington. He's a ufa next year and already states he desires being a starter. I'd love to have a Murray fleury - bishop visil problem in 3 4 5 years when hart sandstrom are ready and grubauer emerges. Might save some our young d from exposure to send one to the next expansion too |

So if Washington is going for it why wouldn't they want to back themselves up with keeping Grubauer?
That's why I listed the 3 i did. |

Is the expectation they carry 3 goalies on the roster throughout the Season? - ravishingone
Only if Hextall is replaced by that idiot Garth Snow.
UFA Veteran/Neuvirth in the NHL, Stolarz/Lyon in the AHL.
I would think so also. It just goes against Hexy stating Stollie is ready. - ravishingone
When did he say that?
http://www.csnphilly.com/...-position-trade-nhl-draft
"We're going to look for the best option and we'll act on it," Hextall said Thursday night. "The option is figuring out the timing and who is available.
"It's not one of those things where I can sit and say it's going to be in place tomorrow or July 1 or July 2."
Hextall reiterated he's not comfortable going with Neuvirth and Stolarz as his duo for next season because of the former's injury history and Stolarz's inexperience.
"Let's see if we can find an option that is better for us short term," Hextall said. "There is always an option. Is [Stolarz] the best option? I don't know if you can say that." |

Speaking of Garth Snow, with Hammonic gone the Isles need a vet D-man, perhaps a return of AMac, in return for Jaro Halak |

I honestly think the Isles are ok platooning Halak and Griess, so I don't think that Halak is legit in play. Plus, I think the Flyers aren't trying to get rid of AMac as much as we think they are... Still need some veteran presence back there and only really have Gudas with more then a couple seasons of experience |

Prior to the 2016 playoffs, Matt Murray had a grand total of 13 NHL games under his belt. Once Pittsburgh was forced to let him play, he took over and is now a bonafide NHL #1. I'd like to see what Stolarz could do if given a similar chance.
I know that Murray's AHL numbers were much better than Stolarz', but he was also playing with a vastly better team during his time. |

Well they could make it work if they didn't sign Radulov, which if he is really looking for 7X7 at 30...pass, and any Giroux deal for me would have to have Galchenyuk in it. Again, just spit balling, but if you sign a guy like Drouin you got give him a center to play with and G would be a perfect fit. However, I doubt it will happen even if the money worked themselves out |

no - YuenglingJagr
“They did say that there have been a couple of calls recently from teams asking just, ‘Is he available? Would he be available? Would they consider going down that road?’
I'm sure that Claude Giroux is the only high-profile player in the NHL that teams ever ask about. |

The Flyers also operated under this illusion last season. They really had 3 defensemen, one AMac, one MDZ, one Streit, one Schultz, and one Manning. |

Yep me too. With a slight edge to Pickard so I can say "Engage" and "Make It So" during games.
(Yes, I realize they aren't pronounced the same but a girl gets her giggles where she can.) - FlyersGrace
Haha. Nice. They need to put him on a team with shattenkirk and make them co captains. Any time the flyers play Carolina and skinners name was mentioned I'm like SKINNER! In my best superintendent charmers voice. Yes I'm a dork. |

I'd have zero problems retiring Eric's number. Regardless of where Eric went after the trade, when any hockey fan thinks of Eric, they think of the Flyers. - johndewar
thats what I am saying, Lindros should have his numbered retired because he fits the HHOF who spent the majority of his career here. |
