Great numbers for a defenseman....... but he can't play defense. Washington considered scratching him in the playoffs against the Pens bc of how bad he was getting beat and how many chances he was giving up. That's who u want playing with McD? No thank you.

Smith is gonna suck in 2 years. His style of play is gonna break him down like Girardi, Klein, Staal, Callahan, etc.
