Nobody could possibly know this and I disagree. Schenn is 25 years of age and the possibility of him becoming a 30 goal scorer isn't outside the laws of possibility. When did Simmonds score 30 for the first time?

Just like you can't possibly know he will score 25 or 30 goals for the Flyers. It goes both ways. Even if Schenn was still on the team, I had him penciled in for the 3rd line. I'm not the Flyers so I don't make that call. There's not even a guarantee he gets the same PP time he got last year. Maybe they want to add a different dimension to the PP and put someone else there.

What if Raffl or Read get traded? They have scored 20+ goals before.

Ok, I'm with you on your other points but this just seems kind of ridiculous to speculate over.

And it is just speculation because I dislike Baby Schenn. Like I stated before my encounters with him have not gone over too well, pretty much an arrogant dbag. I have known others who happen to say the same thing.

I can't really debate based on skill, he is a slightly better and lazier Raffl. So all I have is his character.

I was assuming who ever said 4 meant AMac, Read, Flipper and now Lehtera. Maybe 5 if you add Weise.

Idk, He was cool when I met him. Sometimes its easy to forget that these guys are just kids and that they're going to have good days and bad days just like the rest of us.

I seriously doubt that he didn't get along with the locker room. If he did he probably would've been gone years ago.

Hang on. Why would Schenn be penciled in on the third line if he were here and why would he lose his spot on the top PP unit? The PP is going to have to suggest to not having Schenn if anything. Who can simply walk in and take over that spot after being tops in the league in PP goals?

I feel bad about some of these kids who come to the draft and leave without being drafted.

If the 2nd pick wasn't a gift from the hockey god's, I'm not so excited to see Hextalls draft than. Other than Patrick, I'm not so thrilled in what he's done. He's taken reaches and projects

Saw a tweet that makes a good point. If they take Ratcliffe with the Blues pick and take Frost in the 2nd people probably aren't as up in arms.

I feel bad about some of these kids who come to the draft and leave without being drafted.

It's always brutal -- it just is. Because even getting to the level of hockey they are is something so many people can't do

Hopefully, some of them will find a way to make it work like Myers has, but yeah, it's tough. Very few professional slots for how many people who actually play

I get it: Moaning is kinda what we do, but JFC. The kid reportedly is an amazing skater and has tremendous hockey sense and competes. WTF else do you want to know about a kid who the Flyers moved up to get?

If somebody told me that the Flyers, of all teams, drafted a kid with that profile in the first round, WTF is in their track record of drafting in the first round that makes anybody KNOW, just KNOW, that this is a bad thing?

I think the initial ranking threw a lot of people off of him. After reading his scouting reports however I think it was a decent pick.

That said people are always going to be upset if you don't take the consensus best player available . Especially when they had two big fallers in Tolvanen and Kostin there.

How both observant and predictable a response, without real logic to back up your points. Read and Raffl we're both 20 goal scorers three or four seasons ago, so we're good.

I said this on FB. So in the end the order doesn't really matter. We got two players who I think will eventually be NHL players. I also believe Strome will play in the NHL. Patrick is a no brainer.

So that is 4 guys picked who could be NHL players.

I am happy with this draft.
