Can't believe I'm saying this... Totally unexpected A+ for Benning & whichever scouts he didn't tell to GTFO. Only pick I didn't like was Gunnarsson. A Kristoffer I could absolutely refuse. But otherwise, I love this draft.

Good to hear u like JB's picks.
B+ for me.

Pettersson a swing for the fence
Lind a solid scoop & good potential
Gadjovich nice size & toughness with some offence
Dipietro a very good scoop to keep depth at G
All the rest r good efforts to mine talent.... i like them

I have to give Benning props for taking Pettersson. It was a ballsy move. Not the guy I wanted but anyone in the top 10 were all very close.

Hi,

My thoughts on Elias Pettersson and a glance at the rest of the Canucks picks from this weekend's draft:

GadJo sounds very intriguing & lots of time to polish his skating.
Picking him late 2nd could be a very smooth pick IMO
His skill set & potential is sorely needed.

I really like this pick as well. It's still early and Jake will have to prove himself, but I think we got in Jonah what we should have got in Virtanen at #6.
