I've seen Vilrardi play. Reminds of Jordan Staal a little bit.

So an overpayed 2nd/3rd line center?

what is the expected price for Duchene? I would go insane if we can somehow get Duchene and Barrie for COL. myabe something like: 7th, 21st, Deangelo, plus B level prospect or low level roster player(Fast, Nieves, etc). not sure if that gets it done though.

The Rangers now have picks in the first round to move up...

And at 1 & 2 are the Devils and Flyers.

I'm astonished the Rangers haven't moved that #7 yet. Clearing all that room and picking up bargaining chips and still being patient? You can clearly tell Sather is gone.

The Rangers need to keep that 7th pick. Personally I want Vilardi or Pettersson at 7, then just fill a need at 21.

Let me first say, I want to thank Stepan & Raanta for their services to the Rangers. I wish them nothing but the best. In terms of the draaft, the Rangers will at shot at Mittlesdat, Maker, Petterson, Virlardi or Liljegren. So they personally I'd like than to draft BPA at 7 and then fill a need with 21. Rangers have a real chance to rebuild on the fly, hopefully they nail it here. Because they need it.

Now with the the doom and gloom, because I have to. If this opens up a shot for the Rangers to sign Joe Thornton, I will not root for the Rangers for the duration of Joe Thornton's potential contract. I hate him just as much I as hate Sidney Crosby.

You don't root for them now so what's the difference?

I would really like to hold onto Day if we can. Maybe we can sweeten the pot and throw in Staal....

Suzuki at 7, Yamamoto at 21, just to see the DeAngelo tweets.

At 7 it might be a reach. His highest rank is 10th from Central Scouting(but that is strictly among NA skaters.) Mckenize has him at 12.

good to hear. sounds like they plan to have him play on the team next year. i doubt he is our top line pair fix, but maybe with Staal(if he is still on the team come game 1).

I agree. Anytime you can get a guy with like 5,000 hits, you need to take that guy.

But seriously, I actually like him.

Maybe a little, but not by much. Bet you see Robert Thomas go off the board way earlier than expected too. Not at 7, but still surprisingly early.

Me either, but the fact they addressed a need with a young player on a cheap contract is nice. I don't care if the kid is a Richard. Not saying he's even in the same vicinity, but look a like of Oj Simpson and Aaron Hernandez, during they playing career they were beloved. Only became vilified after they were found at to be murders.
