Very interesting. I was thinking UFA Condon, but this article sounds like a Rangers grab.
- alwaysjoeking

Cerny mentioned that Kinkaid is a UFA on July 1. Would be interesting to see if they make a play for him.

Dude they weren't going to trade Brass & Step in the same summer. There was absolutely no need to trade Stepan last year. How do you not understand this. A team that is competing is not getting rid of their #1 and #2 center in the same summer. Let it go.

Again, like I said in previous blogs I'm not the one bringing it up but I'll be more than happy to talk about it when ppl do bring it up. Maybe u should tell other ppl to stop bringing it up.

Trust me, he is not the answer if they are planning on giving Hank 25 or so nights off.

Really? He wouldn't be able to handle that?

Ok, how about Niemi?

I don't care if you bring it up. I'm just talking about the point that what might not be smart at a certain time could be smarter a year later. Its not static. Things change. If they didn't get rid of Brass last year, you could make the point that it should have been Stepan, once Brass was gone though, that was it.

The halls of fame are filled with players of dubious character, most of which played in an era where what you did on the field, court, ice etc. only mattered.

I could careless about this kids remarks or whatever crime against humanity he's committed. He's a 21 year old hockey player, not the Pope.

This holyer than thou nonsense has to stop somewhere, let's welcome the kid, and hope he turns out to be a great addition, and a pillar of society, for those who care about such things.

He is text book pitch a shut out, then give up 5 softies the next game, way too inconsistent to replace Raanta, although this current Devils crew managed to make Schneider look average so take it for what it's worth.

Why? So we can scream at the TV when they pass up the obvious choice & decide to pick a player that every other team designates as a "project"???

Let me first say, I want to thank Stepan & Raanta for their services to the Rangers. I wish them nothing but the best. In terms of the draaft, the Rangers will at shot at Mittlesdat, Maker, Petterson, Virlardi or Liljegren. So they personally I'd like than to draft BPA at 7 and then fill a need with 21. Rangers have a real chance to rebuild on the fly, hopefully they nail it here. Because they need it.

Now with the the doom and gloom, because I have to. If this opens up a shot for the Rangers to sign Joe Thornton, I will not root for the Rangers for the duration of Joe Thornton's potential contract. I hate him just as much I as hate Sidney Crosby.

Wonder if rangers turn to Thornton as a stop gate center

Ur a clown. Clearly everyone saw, including the Rangers, what I saw last year. Fast is expendable and I don't change that opinion but admit he had a good playoffs. McD could go for a nice return and u wouldn't be to upset.
- nyrangers9479

Fast had far more than "a good playoffs" for the Rangers since he became a Ranger. Why do you think that his own team mates voted him into winning their "Players' Player Award? It took you hearing broadcasters during this past postseason for you to finally realize his true value to the team. The good does not mean goals scored only.
As far as McDonagh, I never said I wanted him to be traded. I only mentioned in the past weeks that he needed to have a RH offensive d'man as his 1st line pairing. That would reduce the strain on him that affected his defensive game the past couple of seasons. That offensive oriented partner, who I and many were saying may have to be Shatty, WHO WOULD LIKELY BE YOUR NEXT RANGERS WHIPPING BOY if signed, but would keep McDonagh fresher throughout every game, & as a result, be a benefit to him as Raanta and Talbot when here were for Hank.

You guys need some Yamamoto with the 7th overall, he's American, but I won't tell DeAngelo if you won't.

Unless its a Crosby or McDavid I really have no idea who anyone is. I figure they have guys who do this for a living and probably would make a better pick than I would. Might as well just hope for the best.

That's impossible because the Rangers thread has been around before 2017

I hope you draft Rassmussen at 7 and Hague at 21

I've seen Vilrardi play. Reminds of Jordan Staal a little bit.
