Was thinking the same. Interesting comment by Stanley on Murphy too. Sounds like he will be given Hammer's job.

What was the comment for us a little late to the board for the evening?

Just that he and Saad were the big pieces today and they're gonna rely heavily on him

Stan said that Murphy would have a big role or something.

Also, reading between the lines when talking about Saad, talked about 200 foot game and compete level, competitiveness and desire to win.

Thanks for the quick comment JJ

Sounds like a no brainer comment that I should have expected lol, but I do like Murphy personally speaking.

In all, I love the moves Stan made. I hate losing Hammer tons, but Murph will be OK to fill in Hammer's role. Haws have faith in the raw depth at defense and we should too.

The Saad move is great as well. Toews is a player that needs complimentary help to play his true style of hockey. Saad brings that and its already proven. The key is male sure Panik repeats his performance. If that happens, we see a top line that is reminiscent of what we have seen in the past.

I feel in the lower percentile, but this, so far has been Stan's best off season

Ha. Earlier today I think you said he could play 5/6 D and develop or something like that. When I read that, I thought: then who the heck is gonna be 3D and 4D to push him down? By definition, he's 2nd line D on Hawks. They ain't fillin in two more better than him.

I remember someone posted on here a couple weeks back: when Kane had great line mates and Toews was carrying his own line, Hawks not so good. Kane will make his line dynamic. With Toews having good line mates and Kaner carrying his line, Hawks have 3 Cups. I like Panarin for Saad for this logic.

It's impossible to be worse than Tanners BS. And if you don't appreciate good BS you are in the wrong place.

What are some of the fans going to do with no Backes and now no Reaves to complain about?
- Jason Millen

I assume you'll still have a roster of 23 or so...? And the club still plays in St. Louis?

There ya go...plenty to complain about.

So far, so good. More work, a lot more. Came to grips on losing Hammer.

Need a 2L, cheaper 3C, 3D and a way to get away from the cap. Not sure Murphy can seamlessly backfill Hammer's role and not out undue pressure (mins) on Duncs and Seabs.

Will be interesting to see how they manage Hoss' LTIR.

Love the Saad acquisition

-Cost control - 4 years x 6 Million
-Panarin was 8 million as a free agent
-Saad bigger and better in the playoffs

Hawks trade Anisimov for Saad
Pick up Panarin in Russia for nothing and trade him back for Saad

In the End- Panarin for Saad and Anisimov
Good deal

Hammer 🔨 deal
Disappointing
But maybe more to follow

It's Saint-Louie. Easy pickin's. Can also touch on a little baseball.
