Funny you bring this up. John is a draft pick of The Mighty Chicago Steel and I was hoping against hope he'd play for them this year, but he signed a pro contract a couple days ago back in Sveeeeeden.

1st and a prospect is actually the going rate for a rental player like Kane, Sabres can get that anywhere come trade deadline. Blackhawks want to lose salary in the deal, there aren't going to pay less than Kane is worth elsewhere.

I think people are undervaluing Debrincat he's going to be damn good. He has a lighting quick release and accurate shot.

Im not betting against him. Yea, two sorry years, but he has a hell of a legacy he has built in Chicago and that earns him some benefit of the doubt. And yes, he KNOWS he is paid 10.5 million and the pressure is on. I think that's wearing on him and it's why he has been showing lots of frustration the last couple years. He just needs to relax, have fun and play...he'll be fine.
