Anisimov could go soon. Buffalo for Kane is a real possibility I am hearing (two sources). - John Jaeckel

JJ, think Hossa will be moved, sounds like Arizona would not be a destination. Carolina perhaps? |

Stan The Maintainer may have become Stan the Builder today.
The rest of his career and legacyas a GM probably get shaped to a large extent by the deals today.
You have to applaud the guts and creativity, especially the Columbus deal. Also hearing just now the Hawks are not done. - John Jaeckel

I wouldn't mind Shaw++ for Anisimov - Dabearshawks
I think if Shaw had a better contract maybe but not at 3.9 million. |

Adding Saad, E.Kane and Murphy in one day....just wow. I love the Saad trade and am still almost in shock at trading Hammer. But I'm intrigued by the potential of a Keith-Murphy pairing. |

With 3 cups in chicago (with a hat tip to tallon for the first 1) - gnosox1986
Tallon gets more credit than the first. He left a ton of talent for Bowman to play with. In spite of his amazing moves and poor contracts, they won two more. Won in spite of him. |

It was more of a Hawks are getting rid of all my favorite players so I wouldn't mind having one back train of thought |

I was arguing FOR E.Kane earlier. He brings SIZE, SPEED, has great hands and he is sure as hell NOT soft. Talk about being hard to play against? Just keep his head straight and bam...may have a team. |

Extreme two-way players are very hard pressed to put up tons of points. The fact he's gonna pot close to 60 pts is a huge win given the unseen numbers he will prevent on defense. He'll score less than Panarin, but there will be a positive net gain. - kwolf68
And wear a defense down marking him opening opportunities for the 2nd line. |

If they hold salary you bet it is. Its also for one year. Likely wouldn't have him long term, but for next year a motivated Evander Kane could be a real handful for teams to deal with. |

That move was all about Toews. Now no excuses, eh!?!?! - Matt_Foleys_bro
I don't think there can be any- but you know another season of the same and it will probably be too late to ever move him if he is not worth his cap hit.
Hoping for the best - but still have to bring it. Show it 19 ... you used to be able to, can you still?

I've been saying all day it's one of those three. Now watch he goes to Colorado or something. |

You think you got it bad ... think of those guys in St Pete --- Losing 87, talk of losing 63, 17 going ... I know they scored boatloads more than the next closest team - but that there is what a proper exodus looks like.

Im not betting against him. Yea, two sorry years, but he has a hell of a legacy he has built in Chicago and that earns him some benefit of the doubt. And yes, he KNOWS he is paid 10.5 million and the pressure is on. I think that's wearing on him and it's why he has been showing lots of frustration the last couple years. He just needs to relax, have fun and play...he'll be fine. |

AA for EKane is a nice deal, but wrong direction on getting cap compliant.
