Looking at Reaves hits on YT. The first three I watched he was ejected for a major. I'm all for hitting especially if we lose Kuny but not when the guy puts the team down a man.

It's over and done now. He better smoke Wilson first game against the caps.

I typically vote for Pens v. caps, but as a Hawks fan I favor Wilson over the Giant PoopyHead

They had Kunitz on the PK, but I wouldn't want to ask too much of Kunitz's aging body. PKers are imporant and some guys are really good at it. I think it should be a prerequisite for our next center. That and the ability to play defense and win faceoffs. Can we just re-sign Bonino?

That's why I don't bring back Kunitz unless it's for the lockerroom. Not much room and that's without Sprong or ZAR who both should push for spots at some point.

Speaking of Ashton-Reese, hearing alot about him playing center tonight. Thought he was wing only, but would be nice as there is more of a need there.

But THE REAL question.....how many pass completions did he make?

I love this quote (maybe JR read it):

"Let’s be honest, the Blues need a guy like Reaves to climb onto the ice, immediately putting the other team on notice for having their ass handed to them. He doesn’t just hit the other guy; he runs them the (frank) over. He is feared on the ice, and is the only Blue who can police opposing players out there. If Pittsburgh had Reaves, Sidney Crosby may not have six concussions during his career (not that anyone in Pitt is complaining right now, or ever)."

I'm confident JR is going to get a real 3C.

I am too, but the flexibility would be nice. Tough lineup to crack so maybe gets feet wet at 4C if he can't get onto the top 3 lines.

The thing I hate about a 30 year old enforcer though is around that point they get sick of enforcing and would rather be more of a player. Hopefully he does both. 6 fights in 80 games means he wasn't just out there for his fists, but they did trade for him to get that element. Big hits work fine too though.

For what though? Sprong, Jarry and next years first? I mean as long as we are overpaying for players.

Don't get me wrong there are other things about this draft that make me crazy namely all the teams I hate the most got better. The Flyers got Patrick. The Leafs got Liljgren. The Bruins got Vaakanainen. Those are all perfect players that compliment what they already have. Yeah but what did the champs get? Some mostly useless 4th liner that is going to block a young guy from getting a shot. Well there's always tomorrow. If Morgan frost somehow falls to us then that may make things a little better.

I like the trade. He's not a goon. He's Lucic with less scoring ability. He burnt the Pens last year if I recall. He will be an everyday player. He kills penalties too if memory serves me correct.

The coaches just pulled your team out of a hole and won you back to back cups, trust the process, they dont wanna worry about whose gonna anchor the top line when crosby is 35. If they think this will help them win a 3rd in a row, I say give em a little faith, they earned it.
