Marner/Matthews - duh captain obvious, they're going no where.
Nylander could be the odd man out if it really came down to it (and not saying it will happen either, there are many factors).
You want a Stud D (Hanafin) with a high ceiling, whose 20 years old and offer JVR and a 17th over all pick in a weak draft AND in a time where D men are highly coveted? LOLOLOL
That's some Hall/Larsson pipe dream goodness right there. - ducks4thewin

Re Panarin/Saad deal-an aside to @TSNBobMcKenzie report about Bowman's comments, Hawks felt like Nashville pushed them around easily in Rd 1

very smart move to get saad so that in 2018 they can avoid getting pushed around in the 2017 playoffs

Hanafin's a stud? - Buggy166
He may be, one day.
But do we seriously need fans of other teams advising us it would cost one of the top rookies in the league, and the MVP of the world championships PLUS, for a Dman who is off to a rather uninspiring start to his career.
You know who else was a fantastic Skater. Jay Bouwmeester. After watching Nylander this year, would you trade him for Boumeester?
Did anyone notice who was on the blueline when the Pens won?
Hanifin might be everything that he was hyped up to be one day. He is definitely a guy who I would love to have on the Leafs, but Matthews, Marner AND Nylander have proven what they can do in the NHL. That is the kind of trade that can come back and bite you in the ass in a few years. |

Boston would give him up for don cherry old jock strap - LeafsFan23
Not one of Hossa's jockstraps though.
Those things are career-ending.

Absolutely. There's multiple ways of getting out of one without it damaging you too much as Kings, Hawks, Rags and Leafs have proved recently. |

Not sure how Nashville is getting out if Weber retires early. |
