Then there will be no deal, and Leafs will move on. Marner was better than Hanafin at the draft, and after the season he had, is way better now. Nylander had a season that was similar to Matthews or Marner, so the same logic applies. Only reason Hanafin is even mentioned is he fell way below expectations. Quite ok with drafting a d-man. And the more likely + as well you mention is a weak attempt at trolling. Maybe you should have suggested Manson for Matthews and 4 first rounders.
