Not necessarily resolved, they are acting like it is, but there is a slight problem.

With those long term front end loaded contracts that pay a nominal fee during the last few years in this case $1 million for 4 years, the cap is spread evenly over the length of the contract - in this case $5.275 million for 12 years. So pay out was $63.3 million, but the salary of $4 million - for the last 4 years is all that remains. So the fact that Chicago enjoyed that $59.3 worth of the Hossa "meal" should also mean that the $5.275 should have been spread over 8 years. This is further complicated by the fact that Chicago was a fully cap team during those years. I doubt this is completely over.
