Karlsson, who plays a similar style, went 15th.
- Steven_Seagull

And do you know who also plays a similar style but went 17th?
That's right, Gardiner.....

Is this small, puck moving D ready for the NHL next year?

Where the (frank) does this one go? Next to all the other ones?

It's like my grandma and her matching spoon collection gonna have to build the Leafs a small PMD holder in wood shop.

Ummm....reilly is 6"1 205lbs....Gardiner is 6"2 200 lbs. ...zaitsev is 6"2 195lbs...so wtf are you talking about barb?

And he was just fine playing 24 min a game in the playoffs. So what's wrong with that?

Maybe all the other guys just stepped up and are better now?
Al lthe scouts and 16 GM's are wrong?

- the_eye

Gm's and scouts make stupid decisions all the time. Just cause they all passed on him doesn't mean they were correct to do so.

This sort of thing seems to happen almost every draft.

Barb - please! A skilled d-man that was expected to be a top 3 pick before the season started and he got mono. One of the best skaters in the draft, excellent first pass, quick release. Right handed defenseman, 6' tall - so not a midget. Solid pick. Rated number 6 by central scouting even after a sh!tty year. Now we can trade for a thumper like Manson. Can't believe some of the questionable picks, Buffalo? Hurricanes? WOW!
- winsix

Okay, I'm convinced.

Thanks for setting me straight winnie!

You spelled Biggs wrong.

Its the scales of fortune. You can only shovel so much garbage on one side. Eventually the scales shift and it all starts turning up LEAFS!

Wooooooo!!!!!!!!! We got Erik Karlsson at 17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just at the beer store and they had it in 4 x cans packs. Not a bad option if you want to bring a few beers somewhere but don't want to drink four (frank)ing quarts of the stuff.

Sometimes quick release isn't a good thing.

Nhl now about skating. You're a better skater you're a better player, more valuable. Plodders are out.

Probably one of the smallest in the draft. NHL says he's 5'7" and 146 lbs.
