stats don't often tell the whole story for dmen. but like you pointed out he doesn't seem that good. anyone here watch this guy somewhat often? what am i missing that the stats dont tell?

They are putting him on "LTIR for a year" to set up the future claim that he is not retired. It is clear as (frank) what they are trying to do. Looks like they are also re-tooling and turning over some other stuff. They are trying to be proactive and not become the Canucks.
