Who would you rather, Scandella or Hamonic? |

Heard he's got a progressively debilitating case of psoriasis that should be full blown by the start of the 2022 season. |

Honestly, (frank) HAMONIC.. he's not what we need. - Arctic_AARDVARK

here's a thought.....
Scandella is a cap dump for Minny... so the price shouldn't be crazy. Their RFA resignings are expected to be expensive... so I could see the Leafs and Wild doing a larger than one-for-one deal.
If the Leafs acquire Hamonic... I don't see him being in Toronto long... he's the chip in the deal with Winnipeg... for Trouba. Peg gets some cost control which they appear to want and Leafs take the risk of needed to resign Trouba.
just sayin'.....

In Nashville's defence, they didn't come up with that stupid contract.
Philly did. |

It will be full blown the year before he intended to retire... that way it all looks legit. They lose him for a year, cry about how awful it is, then he goes on LTIR, collects his money and they don't have to pay a cap recapture. |

At least the Leafs skulduggery wasn't about avoiding a cap recapture from a contract that was clearly designed to circumvent the CBA and never should have been allowed in the first place.

And MLSEL gets additional revenue from renting out a room on Robidas Island.
Please remember to give him hypoallergenic sheets in his room. |

So this is why I have great sympathy for Chicago, NJ, and all the other teams who signed guys to BS cap-circumventing contracts:
If the league didn't like them, they shouldn't have allowed them.
I franking wish the Leafs were smart enough to do the same. |

Not sure, but I smell Tim Connolly and Joffrey Lupul all over him....or at least the Robidas Island Signature Tanning Oil, SPF Melanoma.
An oft injured defenseman is not what we need. We need stability so the kids can run.
I admit I don't know much about him except that he doesn't play full seasons. |
