I'd be interested in seeing a team try DeAngelo at forward. Kid has talent to score. Defense part has never come. Try to rebuild him.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see them take a step back. That core was never able to win it all, but they were damn good. Won a lot of playoff games over the years, and the group really is changing.

I like the trade. DeAngelo has top pair offensive defenseman potential.

Gotta figure that, in no particular order, Hischier, Patrick, Makar, and Heiskanen figure to be the first 4 picks off the board. That leaves VAN and VGK, as of now.

One of Vilardi/Glass/Mittlestadt will be available. I'd steer clear of Mittlestadt, but that's just me.

Thomas/Andersson would be good options if they traded down a few picks. Thomas is going to be a sleeper in the first round, he was one of a few guys I was hoping to see the Isles take when they still had the 15th pick.

Little on the small side I admit I don't much bout him but he shoots right and I know that's important for AV. Hope they have mores planned I was all for change but this deal seems pretty bad a small d man who people want to try at forward and the 7th pick in a weak draft.
