GMJB goes skilled, fast, low priority on size. Not sure Marcus Foligno is going to be here long.

but I thought everyone was asking about him

- homiedclown

Hey if no one wants him, he won't be commanding anywhere near 6-6.5

Sign him for 4.5 mil

You're overplaying the need to draft D in the early rounds. It's all about developing them properly

Stephens made huge strides last year, one of the most improved in jrs

I think it's more that numbers are needed to sort themselves out

I would still like to keep fedun and bodie, if only for rochester

this losing culture needs to end

After seeing the ridiculous amount that NyI got for Hammonic...

I have ZERO faith that we will trade for a top4 guy
Not anyone with great potential anyways

UFA might be the only option
And I'm really not psyched about who's out there

Shatty doesn't sound so bad does he?

Guhle could be a great addition the top 4 either he starts here or in Rochester. It's not all doom and gloom

Until I see him extended, I will doubt it happens.

I'd rather him sign than lose him for free though

David Pagnotta says there is no market for Kane, Sabres might keep him for now
- sbroads24

Could you cite that? You have a tendency to use artistic discretion in your posts when quoting at times to fit your personal agenda. Thanks!

David Pagnotta

Sabres may be better off holding on to Kane. Word is market isn't really there, teams won't give up much - but it only takes 1, so we'll see

No I'm not
The overwhelming amount of top4 defensemen are drafted in the top2 rounds is a FACT, not my opinion

Of course it's a huge help if u can develop later round guys
It just doesn't happen enough that u can depend on it

But even if that were the case...
since we are MUCH deeper at forward...
wouldn't it make sense to draft defense early & forwrd latwr
And then "develop" the forwards?

More on Kane -

On two fronts for the Buffalo Sabres - Evander Kane trade talks and 1st round pick Casey Mittelstadt:

One team exec with some damning words about the Sabres left winger for potential suitors: “Stay away.

“He’s the guy everyone in the locker room hates. As much as he is skilled, you’re talking about issues, maybe if you have a strong room, but I would not move a significant asset for him because he will stir the pot with his teammates. He’s the Jeremy Giambi of hockey; I wouldn’t give more than a third-round pick for him... I suppose they got a gift with Mittlestadt at 8, but I’ve heard how that kid can be checked into the ground.”
