Yes. It will be pretty hard for it to be as bad as it was last year though. I'm completely fine with using Stolarz as a backup; I just really don't like Neuvirth. I would feel more comfortable if Mason was under contract instead.

The off-season is still young though, and I really couldn't have imagined this off-season going any better up to this point. #2 pick, not protecting Amac, protecting Laughton, losing PEB, Ghost extension. I was dead set they were gonna protect Amac and PEB so maybe I'm just more excited over it than I should be. But the moves so far this off-season have eased my concerns of Hexy's ability to evaluate NHL-level talent.

Not sure Stolarz will be healthy enough to be the backup when the season starts.
Neuvirth is an injury prone backup who was overpaid off a year he was one of the worst goaltenders in the NHL. Very curious to see what the plan is for in between the pipes.

Yes and no. There's been a BIG difference since Hextall took over in the leaks dept. I feel he has honed his "you talk and I kill you" glare to a fine surgical weapon.
Probably just threatens to fire anyone who leaks anything he doesn't want leaked.

Very true about Hexy being tight-lipped, but the way rumors and words can travel, I wasn't solely just referring to it coming out from our organization. And I know, I really thought this was gonna be a nice relaxed draft, you know, take whoever Devils don't. Leave it to the day of to scare me poopless . Pepto anyone?

i actually have this really strange irrational fear of hernias. thought i had one once and i was freaking out almost had a panic attack. turned out just to be a passing groin/muscle issue
