I still have flashbacks to that disaster of playoff series against us in 2012 and want no part of that. He in no way would be worth parting with a high draft pick for any one team, given the number FA goalies out there who can put up similar numbers for half the salary.

He had 2 horrible playoff performances, 2012 and 2013. Other than that, he's been an average to above-average goalie. He also is a better playoff goalie than Bobrovsky.

Not saying we should get him, simply that those runs were abnormal.

Pretty sure this guy worked under the Bob Father as a scout for a while. Still should be taken with a grain of salt, and is interesting.

It seems Benning likes Makar at #5 so that's the only thing I'm confused about unless a third team is involved.

He's a solid goalie. but not sure why his name keeps coming up now. He s basically the face of the Golden Knights. This has been reported and I am not sure he is at the expansion draft if he was looking to get moved.

I like the scuttle but, just not going to believe it is going to happen. Unless Shero is enamored with the idea of 3 1st rounders, don't see much traction.

I mean, if there's traction to the rumors of the Devils thinking about taking Makar at #1 then it makes sense if he's really their guy.

I just don't think Makar falls to #6 so a third team like Dallas may need to get involved to make it a reality.
