Hyman, like Bozak has a roll. You need someone to dig the pucks out of the corners. Nylander is not strong on the boards, so until we have a true power forward, Hyman's energizer attitude is going to keep him there.

I think you all forget that we have Lou and Shanny running the ship. If they had a deal in place they are going to wait and announce it on their terms. I'd bet that the deal for Miller, Methot, or another Dman was done on Tuesday. They want to make sure they can keep it under wraps and surprise everyone. Could be for the simple grandstanding and reputation or could be to allow them to work on other deals regarding the draft and other teams. As everyone stated McPhee stated that once you have a deal with us you are not allowed to deal with anyone else that could hurt their team in deals regarding either team's line up.

A good attitude and work ethic are no replacement for skill. Hyman should not be in the top 6 and it makes me feel bad for Matthews every shift he has to take with him.

I'm pretty sure the Leafs are looking at every NHL d-man that is available. The price tag is the biggest barrier to a trade at this point.

JVR likely has to go. He could probably get a good player who's also on an expiring contract, or a good player on a bad contract.
