Honestly, you could probably put Martin on that line and he'd happily dig out pucks and crack 30 points. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting they do that.

I think the problem with Hyman is that he won't be nearly as successful on any other line except maybe Kadri's line.

He would disappear offensively on the 4th line. Bozak and Marner are good passers that need a finisher, if JVR's gone, Hyman can't be there. So what the hell do you do with him??? Kadri line I guess.

I'm not going to pretend to know much about Hamonic other than everyone seems to be interested. Obviously I've seen the Islanders play, but I don't recall ever noticing him.

But why is everyone interested? There is nothing in his numbers, advanced or otherwise, which speak to a player anyone would need this much. He appears to be slotted in over his head in NYI already . . In 2014, he was decent, but that was more a product of the team being decent. In other years, he has not stood out in any way from the play of his team.

He, numerically, is about the same as DeKeyser (who has played 80gp+ twice).

I just don't see it.

This year I like option three. While moving up usually expensive, this one not that much and we could probably have our choice of desired player. Also talent seems to seriously drop off this year after about pick number 20. Could also think about pick number 17 plus Fehr + 2nd for pick number 13 from LV.

I'm one of the few (it seems) that think Hjarmasson gets overrated. Guy's played a lot of hockey recently (that'll get solved in Arizona). He's on his last legs
