Look at the traditional powerhouses in the west all getting older and losing key guys. Look at the younger talented teams, none of which are as good as the Oilers.

The next 2 years could be a pretty big window opening up for Edmonton. I wonder if their biggest competition might come from Winnipeg if they ever get a goalie, and Nashville if they can repeat the Cinderella run.

I don't think a lot of you understand the type of players that are needed on a championship calibre team. Russell is one of those players.

It definitely is looking that way- especially with a young team learning how to win and win in the playoffs... Although we do have holes to fill - defense mostly- but with a solid compliment of centers- most feel pretty confident with the team overall... It will be rather sweet if it all worked to a Leafs-Oilers final the next couple years! Every media outlet already overspins the Matthews -McDavid comparisons...

Who the frank are we getting to replace sekera ? Tell me sweet baby Jesus that we aint giving KR 5 per for 5 years .
