1) Just because you think Hall and Eberle had a hightrade value doesn't mean that was the case. This is Ales Hemsky and Sam Gagner all over again.

2) He was able to balance out the roster with depth players something Lowe, Tambellini and Crack-T were never able to do.

3) He is a big part of why this team made the playoffs.

Whatever...at the end of the day this doesn't improve our team....and Russel at 4X4 limits our ability to do so in the future.
This is NOT a SC calibre team....unless Nurse, Pool and a handful improve enough to make the Oilers better, but not so much that they deserve big raises....this team might actually regress.

Lucic, Maroon, Sekeras, Russel, Letestu and Pouliot are more likely to regress than improve in the next few seasons.

You need everyone to repeat last year to just make the playoffs. I doubt Talbot is as good and no way maroon is either. This team is looking for a lot of goals from guys that aren't proven at all
