1-4 we all have the same. Then variances in top 20. After that it can get all somewhat different. Though more similarities in bottom of 35- 50.

Either way this draft is going to be nuts with the utter lack of consensus.

I dont remember mine that well ever to compare.

The canucks army list was really close to mine in the top 30 except for Cal Foote. They had a couple of the smaller players higher in the 2nd rounds that always fall early year.

Last year may have been just easier that i had 13 out of the top 15 players picked.

I always pick 3 players per pick Van has that i would like them to draft. Somehow managed to get Cole Candella and Jakob Stukel right last season and OJ.

I think it simply depends on whether or not Dallas or Colorado choose a D with their pick, if so then JB picks a C for sure. If the top 4 picks are all C - then we get Makar or Miro, maybe Petterson

For example, if the first 4 picks are the Cs and he doesn't want Makar or Miro and say Buffalo do, we swap 5ov for 8ov +, then we still end up with Necas, Petterson, Mittelstadt i guess its not the end of the world, but it does seem kinda pointless.

I think he should be looking to get another high pick, by way of taking on a sh&t contract from someone/team. Bcus I think the Tanev route to acquire a 1st has sailed.

Can we all agree that we will be happy if one of Glass/Vilardi/Petterson/Makar are drafted at number 5?

Now, trading Tanev seems unrealistic. If they hadnt of lost Tree and Sbiza i think there's a shot. But really, Edler, Stecher, Hutton, Guddy is all we'd be left with. Therefore, Expecting OJ, Pedan, Biega, even Chatfield is not feasible to fill the bottom slots.

I agree that taking a contract is the most logical way and put off Tanev until the TDL or even next summer.

Depending on the first 4 teams picks. If Van could get one of those centers later and pick up a 2nd round pick. Why not. Vantel allauded to the team being paper thin. Well more prospects the better. This draft isnt like previous years where having a top 5 pick is going to have a much better player thrn at 10.

You could then use the extra 2nd to get back into the first to a team like NYR who dont have a 2nd or 3rd.

There will be Nico Nolan Casey Cody Gabriel Makar Heiskanen That is seven players that top scouts Gms and Benning have highly praised. Pick one . We pick fifth and that is a list of sevn . One will be available no need to get fancy and do something stupid

Lots of free agents that can fill in. At this point i would rather sign Franson and Kulikov, Del Zotto. At least they could bring some offence.

I think those are good/safe picks. Makar is the only ? for me, and Mittlestadt. The fact that one is coming from the AJHL and the other from high school, just scares the crap outta me. I just want JB to stay away from the high risk/bust potential guys.
