We don't need him at any amount. - A_SteamingLombardi
I like Miller...I'd rather have a solid vet working with Markstrom and protecting Stetcher than some trash reject from another team. If I have to pay $3MM vs $2MM for some unknown scrub, I take Miller. I realize no one else agrees
I thought they could step in on deals under certain scenerios. As if McDavid signs for 8-9 that becomes the standard for his play and would ultimately lower what other players get. Teams/Agents use existing contracts of similar players as a basis for a contract. Same with arbitration.
Because they'll play him 55 games while Markstrom rots another year as a backup for 3.67 million. - LeftCoaster
^------ x a million.
We don't need Miller. A backup maybe......
Green knows that Markstrom has the stuff, and with knowing your coach believes in you.......Marky will play even better..

someone suggested a "take a goalie and get a pick" Sounds like a heck of a plan
If Marky poops the bed.........isn't that what a lot of people here want....to lose?

I don't think that's the case or they wouldn't have signed him, Benning has some strange loyalty to Miller,Sedins Burrows Megna Chaput Edler Tanev he can't let go. - LeftCoaster

I don't think so but I'm no expert, Paul Kariya went from 10 million a year to 1.2 million because he wanted to play in Colorado.
