If it's too the scouting department mostly then letting them go after this draft make sure some sense. It's happened before in the NBA/NFL. - Nucker101

Wouldn't mind if we take on Hossa contract for Chicago 2018 1st. We have the cap space and a nice pick in a nice draft year.
I know most don't want to help out Chicago, but man do we ever need more chances at top level talent. |

Think we need more than a first for that, the guy is retired. |

so the coach, scouting and AGM were the problem.
where else can the blame go? |

True, but I think Arizona views themselves in a position where they can actually win now, instead of sucking like they have for the past 10 years. They have a pretty good prospect pool, eventually they will have to go for it. - Codes1087
Cant believe the murohy for hjarmllsson deal, I guess they want exp but my god that is not a good deal for them. Stepan is a pretty good pickup I guess, gives them some pressure release up the middle, strome can come in a nd play 2c comfortably. Seems like Raanta is a good goalie to push to start too. |

I am not sure if Strome can play 2C right away. Kid only has a few games of NHL experience under his belt. I think it is a decent trade for them. hjarmllsson is better than Murphy, can will be on the top pairing with OEL. Arizona essentially find their top pairing D man and 1st line Center in one morning. |

I would stay away from Cap Circumventing contracts. I am not sure if we would be included in the penalty process |

He might be better this year, but next year? for how long? the guys is 30(I actually thought he as older.. so not as bad), Murphy is 24. He's a 3-4 guy, not a top liner IMO. very good 3-4 , don't get me wrong. I agree he will compliment OEL very well. This is definetly a time will tell trade, Dauphin is not a bad player either. |

Wouldn't Chicago be responsible for that? Also think rules changed last cba. |

Great.
So after an entire season or two of scouting this upcoming draft class, there's a massive disagreement between the burocrates and the talent evaluators....
Rasmussen at 5 I guess |

I heard it was draft day. Is that true?
Good if it is because my Canuck fuelled anxiety and depression was starting to wane. This draft should fire that engine up again. |
