Ideal trades:
Stepan for Chychrun or Dumba
Raanta + Day for Trouba
Staal +Skapski for Derek Ryan + Ward
JT Miller for Eberle - alwaysjoeking
Graduation, just ended, on way to lunch, but my views:
1) Maybe but overpayment in my opinion from NY in each case
2) Doubt 'Peg does it, but maybe
3) Are you insane? Plus, Ryan is a UFA to be.
4) Love Eberle, but salary is albatross and he might get eaten up by NY if he struggles |

One thing I will say, if they trade Stepan for younger pieces I guarantee Nash stays and signs an extension. |

Would really like NYR to get Trouba from Winnipeg. Is Stepan, Staal, Raanta, and the first pick too much for Trouba & Blake Wheeler? Or how about the same NYR group to Colorado for Mackinnon and Tyson Barrie? |

Same here. Obviously, picking up a talented scorer is great, but we've seen what happens when you don't have a commitment to playing 200 feet from forwards.
Thanks, but no thanks. |

Just wanted to say that I am not too broken up about losing Lindberg. Sure, I liked the guy and would have loved to keep him, but at the end of the day he's a fourth line center. We new we were going to lose a player, and that one isn't earth shattering. You can replace that position in free agency for pretty cheap, assuming that the Rangers don't feel they have a viable in-house option.
Hell, until about midway through the year, I pretty much thought the guy was a commodity grade fourth line center, based on his years with the club. He did play well late in the year and in the playoffs, and his salary is awesome, but it ain't the end of the world. - Pete V
I would agree. I think Nieves should slide in nicely. he has a bit more speed that Lindberg too. overall Exp draft did not hurt very much. compared to NYI we made out like bandits. |

Staal is a negative asset. You would have to give something just to have a team take him. |

Probably have to at least add the first from '18 as well for these kinds of packages. |

I think the Trouba ship has sailed, unless he really wants to get out of there. Even then though he has no say for a couple years. |

That means a lot less to a Canadian boy (especially one from Thunder Bay) than it does to a Jabroni from NYC!!! |
