I wouldn't go that far.
As has been mentioned, you just keep on about how right you are. But, you still don't know all the things that the GM's know. There may be very good reasons we are not aware of to have avoided those deals.
Furthermore, I took a look last night at Coyle vs. Stepan just in case I missed something. Nope, I did not. Step is 2 years older and , yes of course he makes a little more money than we would like, but other than faceoffs there is not a single reason to covet Coyle over Step. 0.3ppg vs. 0.7ppg. and aside from one year, Coyle has scored a whopping 2 points in each playoff year. - Tonybere
I'll do this again. I don't bring it up until other ppl do, and when they do I'll laugh about it all I want. 2nd, it wasn't Coyle for Stepan straight up but we won't re-hash that. So if ppl want to keep bringing it up, I'll keep talking about it. If u actually watched Coyle this year in the playoffs, he was a beast. Stepan was skating in mud the whole time. |

Regards to THIS summer, Stepan to AZ is realistic. Raanta to WPG but what could we get back? I know we'd all like Trouba but I don't think we have what WPG would want outside of Skjei. |

if we can trade Stepan for a Brass type trade and get rid of Staal, that would be a huge win for this offseason. anything else is gravy. i would like to keep raanta if possible. might be a decent flip at trade deadline. |

Not sure, maybe MSL. Thought we overpaid for a guy that was 39 that only wanted to play for 1 team. |

Rangers, by the way, are not going to re-sign impending UFA Marek Hrivik. Unclear whether RFA Mackenzie Skapski will be qualified.

Did u watch the series? He was the most noticeable player on either team. Multiple breakaways, hits, energy, everything. His 2 points don't represent how he played. But if your going to try and make an argument he wasn't good bc u didn't watch the series and are just basing it on his stats, it shows how clueless u are. |

Tony since you asked, if you ever want to post a video, just change the numbers in the width and height to like 400. Should fit the page fine then. |

I honest to god think Eberle is still riding the coattails of that game.... Wasn''t sure if Tavares was on that line or not. - mrhattrick27
He was. Wearing #19, he was the one that dug the puck off the boards and tossed it on net. |

If Stepan didn't have the "no trade clause" coming in his contract would you all still want to trade him. I'm ambivalent in regards to a Stepan trade. But I do hate the NTC.
I see Stepan as a player that does a lot of important things for the Rangers. He's a leader that's done big things in big games, is on the PP, is on the PK, is smart and can basically be put on for any situation. He's not a top center, he's slow but makes up for it with smarts, not so good at facing-off and has a NTC as of July 1st.
I don't have an issue with his salary because he's 26. If his shooting percentage was 2 or 3 percent better last season I'm not sure we're even discussing all of this. And every GM should investigate the trade value of all players on the roster. It's the only way to know what's available on other teams.
Back to my initial point, if Stepan didn't have the NTC about to kick in, would you all be talking about trading him? |
