I was a big Richards fan after watching him with Tampa in the Finals. Whenever I would get the new NHL game I would trade for him and put him with Bure (The game didn't know he was injured/retired for a couple of seasons). They roasted every team, Bure eclipsed 90 goals
I would still do that deal as the Rangers every time. He was not showing signs of slowing down when he signed. - JRR1285
anyone know what the rangers would be looking to get from ARZ? i wouldnt mind getting Connor Murphy - young righty Dman. though i would want something extra as well.
And everything I said last summer u all want to do now - nyrangers9479
I wouldn't go that far.
As has been mentioned, you just keep on about how right you are. But, you still don't know all the things that the GM's know. There may be very good reasons we are not aware of to have avoided those deals.
Furthermore, I took a look last night at Coyle vs. Stepan just in case I missed something. Nope, I did not. Step is 2 years older and , yes of course he makes a little more money than we would like, but other than faceoffs there is not a single reason to covet Coyle over Step. 0.3ppg vs. 0.7ppg. and aside from one year, Coyle has scored a whopping 2 points in each playoff year.

If Stepan is going it better be for another center. Just lost Lindberg. Can't lose Stepan too with no replacement.

Any thoughts to Miller moving back to the middle? - mrhattrick27
I go back and forth on that. He seems to gain and lose confidence very quickly. Not necessarily a good trait for a center. I guess they could work with him in preseason and see how it goes. I would say it would be a last resort though.
Sounds like the Islanders are hot and heavy for Eberle.... It's such a good fit for them. - mrhattrick27
Hearing he did not get along at all with Buchberger, so new assistant coach might have something to say on this, I think Isles go hard on Duschene, and maybe even Galchunyuk as well. Could get real interesting in next 48 hours.

Pretty soon the Islanders will be better than the Rangers until Snow ruins it somehow.
Whoops! Didn't mean to stretch the board out like that! Can anyone tell me how to shrink the video? I'll take it down shortly....After everyone has a chance to watch that clutch play. And the Isles fans here get a chance to see Tavares win something.
I honest to god think Eberle is still riding the coattails of that game.... Wasn''t sure if Tavares was on that line or not. - mrhattrick27
Tavares was the one who closed off the play on the boards and through it to the front of the net.
And, yes, Eberle has largely gotten by on that goal and his first in the NHL, which was certainly a beauty as well.
He's got great skills, but his all around game isn't in the same ballpark as Miller's.
