Hawks fans are idiots. They think Panarin is worth Neal, Theodore, and a first.

I wouldn't give up Panarin for a declining slow Neal, a role player and a first round pick in a poor draft.

Hawks fans ARE NOT clamoring for this trade at all. Most Hawks fans want nothing to do with Neal as the centerpiece of any trade. Panarin is a talented 26 year old, nearly a PPG player who can actually skate and will put up almost 2x the numbers as the lumbering clod. Nashville just improved their team speed 10 fold simply by letting such a "valuable" player be taken by Vegas.

How in hell would this trade improve the Hawks? The answer is it won't. Panarin isn't being traded for a cow like James Neal, never never never.

I would say he is. And more. Neal doesn't hold that much value, and Theodore is a decent young d prospect, (and I'm assuming not more than a mid-first).

Panarin is a 25 year old with two 70+ point seasons already.

Yeah, I'm wanting a hell of a lot more than that package for him too.

Canadiens acquire defenseman David Schlemko from Las Vegas, in return for a 5th round pick in 2019. DETAILS -> http://goha.bs/2tyrC3e .

I don't think the side deals are worth walking away from a foundational d core of

Except if the side deals weren't there then guys like Manson wouldn't have been available. Only reason Anaheim didn't just buy out Bieksa and trade either Manson/Vatanen was because there was a side deal meaning they didn't have to.

That wasn't an option. If they planned on taking dumba/Manson, then the team would've traded them. There only options were take a worse player for nothing, or take a worse player and also get a pick/prospect:

Overall this is the worst projection I have seen. Eakin and Lindberg not as centers?? There's no way they play wing. Also I guarantee rich, Theodore, and the number 6 pick are in the lineup.

Then those teams lose 2 roster players.

If Vegas wanted Dumba, the Wild would have to decide whether or not they would like to trade Dumba for (likely) less than normal market value AND lose the next best player to Vegas, OR just lose Dumba and ice a better team next year.

I think he means that if there was no side deal Bieksa would have been bought out, so they could protect one of Vatanen/Manson. The other one not protected would have been traded to another team to get back future assets or a forward. I still think that would have been better because giving away Theodore for nothing sucks as well.
