Well that's ok. We all know Snow has contingency plans in place. Oh, wait

Eberle and Galchenyuk, I'll go to war with that.

I'm not sure what people are so concerned about. I think it was a good deal. Got rid of that hideous, albatross of a contract in Grabo, a goalie whose contract expires in 2 weeks and a prospect who'll be a career minor-leaguer ( in all likelihood). In exchange for keeping the entire roster, Snow gave up a 1st & a 2nd 3 years from now. What is bad about it?
- Isleshockeyman

Plus Snow will resign him July 1 so we can have 3 goalies again!

Albatross of a contract?? It only had one year left on it. Much more serious potential albatrosses are Ladd, Clutterbuck, and eventually even Boychuk.
- JohnScammo

Yep! Clarkson has an Albatross contract. I would have liked to save the #1 pick for a Duchene or other type trade. It's done and now we wait and wait and wait.

While they are, I'm simply talking about Grabo. At least those guys are playing. Grabo won't ever play again.
- Isleshockeyman

LTIR then takes care of that, although it seems to be hard for Snow to utilize as per Staple his positive spin PR firm

I'd feel better if Galchenyuk did better as a center. He seems better at wing at this point.

The big difference is Clarkson has 3 years left on his deal. I would have liked to see the Isles give Vegas a 2nd for Grabo and another 2nd round pick to protect some players. I'll feel better if the Isles can pull off a Duchene deal. Right now it's real tough as we wait for deals to happen.

I'm sure the Isles would have loved to give a 2nd as well

Damn rights he will. Best 3rd goalie to ever lace 'em up for the Isles.

Have to hope Garth pushed back a little. Still think Isles giving two 2nd rounds picks would be more than fair. George will have other #1 picks.

One of my favorite Rangers. Fleury, not his paraphernalia.

I watched him first hand inhale more powder than Keith Richards back in my club bartending days in Manhattan.

I promise not to discuss it. Garth gets Duchene and another piece I will not mention the #1 either.

You are taking notes so that you can fact check 3 years from now, right?

I tell you what, if Snow is able to get Duch AND Eberle/Galy/other high-end forward, I might have to slow down on the Snow-hate a bit.

I just realized I'll be in Vegas for a softball tournament the weekend of their home opener. I have to get a ticket to that game

You guys are right that CBJ lost a starting forward and unless they are knocking on McPhee's door for Berube's negotiating rights, Isles lost nothing. They also protected their veteran goaltender tandem by not losing Halak who probably had more value than some of the goalies they took.

I think most would slow down on the hate. We all want the Isles to do well. I'd rather cheer Garth for good moves than keep ripping on him for lousy or no moves.

Snow: I don't know George a 1st, a 2nd, D prospect ( who McPhee scouted for the islanders ) and Berube ( Snow's coveted goalie that he (frank)ed the season up for)

McPhee: Snowy I'm your friend, I wouldn't screw you. You should see what the other clubs are giving me, you won't believe it. Your gonna look like the best GM in the league.

Snow: OK George, I really appreciate this, Thx.

McPhee: No worries Snowy. ( As McPhee falls off his chair in hysterics telling his assistant, " He took it hook line and sinker"
