Well that's exactly what you're doing soooooo touché? - Shaundre93
I like discussing things. I tend to be pragmatic, but interpreting text without inflection is something people are generally getting less and less good at. So I just laugh and pour myself a drink. At the end of the day, I'm still a bruins fan, and there is absolutely nothing I can do to alter the outcomes of incompetent executives. |

Thats kind of exactly the reason I try to see the teams side on things and defend their view point. There's a whole lot of people out there who seem to "know" exactly what a players worth is and what the team should do with them. At the end of the day, none of us know what goes on behind the scenes, no one truly knows what it takes to build a winner (seriously, look at that Pens defense ) and there's not a (frank)ing thing we can do so why not just pretend the guys in charge know what they're doing? |

Pretend they guys in charge know what they are doing? Lol that has worked out real well for this country so far.
If I have a different approach I will voice it. If I disagree I'll talk about why. But I can't just blindly trust that people know what they are doing. There has to be reasoning. It's a market, and in a market people should be held accountable for their actions. (Not that I personally can do this, but it's but it would.be nice for example if Sweeney came out and gave a real reason why he protected who he did). I don't buy the "luxury" excuse. As fans we watched and waited for things to get better, so show us you're willing to leave no stone unturned for this franchise. Show us, as the gm of our favorite team, that you care as much as we do. |

I wonder how these threads would have gone if Sweeney flipped a 2nd round pick for Vegas to take someone else other than Chiller.
So if Boston lost a second and Subban instead of Chiller, would that have been better? |

A 2nd rounder for Beleskey or McQuaid might havemade sense. Subban doesn't cost you anything but a wasted 25th overall pick, no salary.
I would have loved seeing the Bs try to get vegas to flip us a d man that's early 20s for a 1st and krejci (I know he has a NMC) and Quaider or k Miller.
I'm excited for this off season. We either start to make smart asset management decisions and flip some potential talent for solid pcs that make us near contender or we wait and see for anouther 5 years when we have these guys hopefully develope into a good team.
The latter sucks because Bergy will be near the end and not anything close to the stud he is........unless he drinks what Brady drinks maybe. |

I Don't think Krejci is going anywhere. It would be nice to see them acquire a LHD for McQuaid plus picks or prospects. Or a package involving Spooner or whatever for a LW.
They need one player that makes them better this season whether a forward or D. And it needs to come without losing a piece of the puzzle.

how did Dallas end up with the #3 overall pick? I though they would be perennial Cup finalists after fleecing Seguin from us. |

What are your guys thoughts on the possible Scandella deal? Ty is saying on Twitter that he's not into it... I can see where he's coming from since he would probably fit in at 3rd pairing. I could see them possibly having him play 2nd pairing, and moving Krug to the 3rd pairing. Either way it's $4m for a 2nd or 3rd pairing guy. I think they'd have to lose a McQuaid/Miller in the deal to make it work... or else you're paying McQuaid/Miller $2.5m-$2.75m to be your 7th defenseman.

If it takes more than a 2nd rounder, McQuaid/k. Miller and dumping spooner. Then no, pass. You're right, we would need to lose K.Miller or McQuaid. |
