Before everyone starts to burn Botterill on the cross we must remember, we have 3-4 bad contracts that we can't move and if we do try and move them you gotta make the offer real sweet for another GM to take it. We don't have much to move in picks and players so everyone needs to relax and wait and see.

I'd prefer Vrbata but doubt he leaves Arizona for us. Just throwing him out as a 1 year stop gap. I don't really have a good handle on Sustr, know the name not the player if that makes sense...but I'd probably skip on him for Guhle's sake. He'll probably end up in Rochacha either way, but signing Sustr effectively ensures it. I'd like to at least present that kid with the opportunity to make the club.

D Andrej Sustr RFA
G Kristers Gudlevskis
LW Adam Erne

TBL gets:
C Larsson
D Gorges
Conditional 2nd if Sustr plays X amount of minutes or 3rd if more.

THis way we could add a young D that could demand a bigger deal from them. We add an AHL goalie who has played NHL minutes but passed over for Wilcox for them now and a depth LWer in Erne who played NHL time but likely a fringe 2nd/3rd.

They get a solid 3C/LW with grit. Eat a salary for 1 year and get a pick out of it.

As am I.... I think that if anyone is goign to benefit from Housley it is going to be Bogo. It takes D Men some time to find their games sometimes. Hedman and Bogo are the same age and just now the last 2 years has Hedman really found his game.
