The teams that have been rumored to be asking about Kane have been teams in the Win Now mode. That seems to me a team with aging players running out of time. My thoughts immediately go to Vancouver with the Sedins nearing the end. Others I could see would be SJ especially if they sign their UFAs, NYR with Lundquist getting up in age. Maybe Florida if Jagr resigns and given Luongo's age.

I legit ask why? Hes a ufa end of this season and is off the books before Eichel or Rhino or Kane need new deals. Gorges in a non factor as far as the cap goes, would much rather see bogo gone.

What did Carolina give up for TVR??

VGK just dealt a prospering top 4 pair guy with RFA. Him and Theodore were top 4 quality guys I would have built around if I were them.

Only real reason is that the Ducks are so deep on defense

Right now, he's a pretty decent 2nd pair guy
He's still only 21 & developing too though, so he could get even better


The trade back idea is a great one imo
We can (maybe) get Theodore, and still draft a good defenseman prospect

Why have him on the books at all after this year? If there isn't space on the NHL roster, send him to Rochester. No, you don't get much in terms of savings, but he wouldn't be here taking up space on the roster either.

I just want to be able to be done and over with as far as he's concerned. So I'll deal with him being around in some capacity this year if I have to. Buying him out is NOT a smart option IMO.
