TVR from Vegas could be a possibility if we package it correctly

That's what I mentioned before, gotta move out Bogo and Gorges if you want to bring another D man or 2, not enough spots. Botterill is very patient and in no rush.

He is??? I feel like Pitt was always VERY active on every trade front and eveyr deadline.

Streit for a 4th

Hainsey for Kristo and a 2nd

Traded away Bennett

Traded for Kessel

Traded away Neal for Spaling and Hornqvist

Traded for Hagelin

Traded for Schultz

Traded for Daley

Traded for Bonino

Traded for Ian Cole

Traded for perron

If Patrick Sharp came down dramatically from his 5.9M and was capable of playing most of a season I'd take him in a heartbeat for our 3rd line C/LW.

The players they traded for made the team better and got them 2 more cups, but it wasn't a race to make a deal they made the right deals at the right time.

Anyone know what the 'deal' with McPhee would have been had GMTM still been in his position?

I don't know what to take of him....

He played a full season last year with 14 pts but somehow finished -5 ON CHICAGO!?!?!

This year he played only 58 games but scored 16 pts and was +17.

Almost double the giveaways as takeaways... doesn't hit much.. averaged less ice time this year than last year when he was -5. So did they shelter him?

If we could replace Gorges with Girardi, that could be pretty good.

It was related back to that one Russian DMan that never showed here when we traded with them a few years back.

I think it was a deal to take a short but big contract because that is what we did for them in taking that guy. Maybe Gorges.

Like to grab Oshie but doubt we do or doubt he would come here.

I'd like to get in on Eberle, as it sounds like the price is coming down.

Yeah I recall it was for the Russian D man...would be interesting to know what Sabres could have given up. Gorges, Bogo, Moulsen. Oh well, what's done is done, was curious if it will come out after the fact.

Doubtful they move any of the young d-men they picked up. They would prob be more willing to move Methot or Emelin (Who i would be interested in)

I would go after:

Neal and either Methot or Emelin

Would solve hole on LW and add a shorter term Vet presence on D until Guhle/Draft pick can step in. We can flip Neal if needed at deadline

I don't like it that Eberle looks great when EDM is crap but when McDavid and Draistail were there this year playing big time then Eberle had a down year.

I don't get that.

Waking up to see Vegas took Carrier, not in the least bit surprising nor is it really a big deal, he's totally replaceable.

I thought the same thing but Neal and Emelin are a UFA after this season. Methot is in 2 years.

Yea and i think thats fine honestly. If we grab Emelin, hes only here as a stop gap for Guhle and Neal a stop gap for Nylander. Flip both at the deadline if we arent making the playoffs and bring up both young guys. I wont be mad if Methot is here on a 2 year deal either.

Im not suggesting we give up alot for any of them

I'd rather just sign a guy like Del Zotto and not give up assets. Still be a stop gap. Maybe a 3 year deal.

Stone or Daley are UFAs as well. could be cheaper.

Still need to get rid of one of the other defensemen to bring another in.

Maybe a package deal with Vegas to unload a contract (Bogo would be my best guess), to then sign or obtain a defenseman.
