Hate to break it to you but none of those three are good enough to be on the top two lines and Rodriguez won't ever be either. I had faith in Baptiste in Bailey and I'm hoping the reason they sucked so bad in Buffalo was because of Bylsma but as of right now I would include them in the log jam or 3rd/4th liners we have. I still stand by my statement we need to find a way to trade one of Girgensons/Foligno/Larsson they're all too similar.

Yeah because we're so deep at LW and there's tons of under 25 speedy LW's for under 2 mill that can be had that have scoring ability and grit.

Carrier has never been a goal scorer. His entire career high is 27 in 66 games in the Q. His next best was 16 in 34 in the Q. Better average but still not amazing.

A guy we couldn't wait to run out of town scored 40 goals in 59 games in Junior, and then 30 in 33. And his NHL career high is 10.

Carrier is a "grinder". A dime a dozen.

Carrier scored 73 goals in 227 games in the Q, and 23 goals in 127 games in the AHL, he's not exactly prolific

Forgot that about Lehner. So Lehner (frank)ed us over with being difficult in contract negotiations. At least Ullmark can stop a man at point blank range. Lehner is the worst goalie I've ever seen at uncontested shots and breakaways. It's borderline pathetic how still he stands.

Too expensive to have Vegas take a contract. The league gave Vegas way too many advantages in this. Not fair to prior expansion teams.

It seems like it was actually Vegas that made the worst rule, and teams just swallowed it with nary a complaint. It was basically McPhee saying "We do this deal and you're not allowed to do any deals with other teams that effect expansion."

It doesn't matter where you save the shots from. Your total save percentage takes in account all shots from all areas, and all goals let in from all areas. Goals count the same from all areas. People want to try and sound smart by breaking down save percentage, but at the end of the game, it doesn't matter where or when the goal was scored from/at.

I'm going to be very proud if 1 day at the awards the Sabres will be talked about when winning the cup.

Carrier looked good there at least, he gave effort and speed. All Foligno and Girgensons did was miss wide open nets that the face of your franchise set them up with? My point is mainly about the glearing lack of LW depth now that could actually play in the top six and if we trade Kane which I'm expecting us to do we have no one there with the exception of concussion bound Ennis and at best he's a 2nd line LW. That's if he finds a way to regain his form from 7 years ago...
