they will be exactly where the Canucks are now in 3 years. Aging stars, a goalie than never won, cap problems and no assets. Also Alain Vigneault.

you'd think GMs would learn now.

I'm not certain but apparently it is so they wouldnt take Raanta

I think its creating something out of nothing. LV gets 30 picks. They submit 1 list. Why would they release the timing of which teams they picked first and last...
- Codes1087

The list could be in alphabetical order.
Its irrelevant tbh but the Canucks r not offering LV much.
Any list in the end will be semantics.

I thought Zhukenov was a centre. Hopefully we sign him.

i would say over half team picks have been leaked. Most by mckenzie/lebrun/dreger

I'm more interested in what else Vegas is getting to not select players than who they actually are selecting. That has more impact on the rest of the league in terms of how much certain guys are valued now

In previous expansions it was fun to see that SJ sent player/picks to specifically protect Nabokov, I look forward to more of those type announcements

I would think the NHL would have done a better job of keeping it confidential so people would actually watch the NHL awards.

that's what they get for releasing protection lists late.

Depth isn't a YUGE priority if you're rebuilding though. Insert Pedan and Holm and hope we tank well enough for Dahlin

seriously man, beat it if you're not going to contribute anything other than useless squabble. Stop trying to stir up stuff.

So according to the CBA and General Fanager, “if a player is traded or claimed on waivers prior to the no-trade or no-move clause taking effect, the clause does not bind the acquiring club. An acquiring club may agree to continue to be bound by the no-trade or no-move clause, which agreement shall be evidenced in writing to the player, central registry and the NHLPA.”

Does the above make Tanev more valuable to move by this draft?

Nope. I wanted him to be moved before his NTC clause kicked in, but its a modified one where he provides a list of 8 teams he doesnt want to go to, leaving GM's 23/31 teams to make deals with. Lots of options

go back to that post. You have selective hearing(seeing). I posted hockey related questions to that exact post, you just chose to ignore the hockey related material and post verbal diarrhea. Know when your joke is old.

Yes it's a modified NTC and gives options. But it still has that restriction. Like what if best offer comes from less desirable local like Buffalo and he says no. So doesn't it give traded to team some more value on Tanev to have that block nixed if he's traded now?

It's going to be Gaunce.

There are much better options for them than Sbisa, so it's better for them to take those guys and go for [the best combination of cheap and good] from the Canucks. That's Gaunce. Sbisa's contract would count for 5% of their roster, it's much better for them to take a bunch of bare-minimum-contract-players so they can pick up as many expensive ones as possible.

I actually responded to your quips so maybe you should go back and read. I made one joke now on this to you and instead of being cool about it you get all shaken up. Good call. Not weird at all. But I'll end this line on it now. Feel free to have the last or upteenth word about it and make a big deal.

Well it seems from posts above that Dhaliwal has stated it will not be Gaunce.

Dhaliwal seems pretty switched on with the Canucks

I dont think it affects his value because with how many years are left on his contract, I am expecting one trade. If Dallas, Washington, Tampa, or any other contender looking for his services comes along for a deal, I think they would hang onto him through his prime years. Especially for what the current asking price is
